Crispy whiting & chips with herb tartare

A classic favourite, enjoyed any day of the week.

What You'll Need

  • ¾ cup Praise Whole Egg Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
  • 1 gherkin, finely chopped
  • lemon wedges and parsley, for garnish
  • 425g packet frozen Birds Eye Southern Blue Whiting – Original Crumb
  • 1kg packet frozen Birds Eye Golden Crunch Chips

What to Do

  1. Cook frozen whiting fillets and chips following packet directions.
  2. Meanwhile, combine mayonnaise, herbs, onion and gherkin to make tartare sauce.
  3. Serve fish and chips with tartare sauce, garnished with lemon wedges and parsley.
  4. TIP: If using an oven to cook the fish and chips simultaneously, follow the chip cooking temperature. Use 220°C, start with cooking chips before adding fish in the last 20 minutes of cooking time. Cook until steaming hot.
